Story Recap
Ewald and Manfred had deserted the Nazi army and have fled the battlefield. Traveling west for hour on end, survival was not enough and they needed to find a reason to keep going. As they’re motorcycle runs out of gas, both characters are now at a crossroads riddled with nazi troops. The date is July 2, 1944. The location is Ponary.
Breaking into the Barn
First Enemy Group
Make your way towards the northeast of the map where the barn is highlighted with a star icon in your minimap. Hide behind the fence using the bushes where a wagon and few barrels are placed. There will be 5 guards, 2 on the left and 3 on the right where another crate of booze is waiting for Ewald. Waif for one of the left group to walk across the field and then use Manfred’s Whistle to attract him behind the wagon. Wait for the soldier to go around the fence and then knock him out. Don’t forget to hide the body in the bushes. Now use both Manfred and Ewald to crouch towards the bottom of the location where the FOV, or field of view, of the soldiers are limited.
Make your way in between the left and right soldier groups to take out the remaining solider in the left. Carry the body towards the nearby bushes. Press tab to plan your next movement. Let Ewald use the Brawl Skill on two soldiers while using Manfred for the last one. Clear the bodies once again then head out toward the next group of nazis; 2 will be sitting by the campfire while a lone soldier will be kneeling down in front of a broken jeep. Use the Whistle Skill and Bare Hand combo from both characters to knock the soldiers out. Use the tab to slowdown the game and execute a dual kill as two of the soldiers will interact with the Whistle skill. Lastly, take out the soldier by the jeep.
Second Enemy Group
Crawl in between the two houses on the left and into the bushes. Don’t bother with the 3 guards rounded up by the table in the patio. Eliminate a passing soldier from the right side of the house then hide his body in the bushes. Another soldier will be passing through the street, kill him then carry the body to the bushes. Use this method again on another unsuspecting soldier patrolling the street. Across the street is a house where a few guards are hanging about.
1 guard will be standing watch while 3 men are sitting by the outdoor tables. Attract the single guard with the Pocketwatch Skill then knock him out. For the next part, use the Whistle and Bare Hand tandem to attract one guard each so as not to attract unwanted attention.

Third Enemy Group
Once you’ve cleared the backyard, let Ewald grab a few bottles for extra keeping then crawl towards the barn. There will be 2 soldiers by the side sitting around a table then 2 more guarding the barn door while 1 guard goes around the well patrolling the vicinity in front of the barn. Press tab and plan your execution, using both Ewald and Manfred to kill them both at the same time. Don’t forget to do this when the patrolling guard is looking on the opposite direction. Do the planning combo again on the 2 other guards by the barn door. Once eliminated, quickly dispose of the patrolling guard. Hide all the bodies then interact with the barn door.
Helping the Sabotage
Unknown Stranger’s request
As you progress War Mongrels Chapter 2, an SS uniform and a barn key will be the next objective. After talking to the unknown man locked behind the barn door, head towards the far right of the map, right by the end of the street then make your way down. Manfred will be using an SS uniform to disguise himself. on the other side will be a small fence, open it, but always keep a crouch position. There will be a few soldiers so use Manfred’s Whistle ability from the other side of the fence, to attract the guard then while the guard is walking around towards the long destination, knock him out.
On the next vicinity where the uniform is placed, there will be the 2 guards in the yard. Wait for the 2 soldiers to talk so you can easily crawl your way in between their FOV then plan simultaneous execution for each soldier. Hide the bodies then let Manfred wear the costume.
Officer Manfred

Now that Manfred is wearing an SS uniform, he can easily pass through unsuspecting soldiers except fellow officers who will spot you immediately. There will be a guard scrounging behind some lumber stacks that you can eliminate easily. One more guard is surveying in front of an open barn.
Wait for his FOV to move to either edge and just assault him through the opposite side. In the neighboring house will be 2 nazis with their backs turned, use Officer Manfred to walk up behind one then use Ewald to sneak towards the other one for the dual stealth kill. There will be a soldier patrolling around here so wait for him to move in the other direction.
Killing the other Officer

Move towards the immobilized truck and hide in the bushes beside it. Use the Whistle and knock out each of the soldiers guarding by the fence entrance when the officer’s FOV is away. Once done, scurry your way down to the bushes behind the repair sheds. This side of the fence will have 2 guards looking at both directions. Distract the first guard by throwing a bottle behind the second guard. Knock him out quickly then follow up the second guard to free up the side of the vicinity.
Use Ewald and go directly towards the elevated truck being repaired and wait for the officer to stop in front of it. Interact with the truck and you will taken out 1 officer plus 3 more soldiers sitting behind a barrel. Grab the key and head back to the barn.
Lukas and the Bridge
Getting some Boom boom

After the cutscene, you will be able to use Lukas which you will then move to the end of the warehouse ruins; a star icon can be seen to pinpoint the location in the minimap. Use Lukas’ Hook Climb ability to quickly head up the wall then go down the ladder and wait. This will be a new character mechanic introduced in War Mongrels Chapter 2. Using Officer Manfred, walk to the checkpoint on the left side of the warehouse ruins. 3 guards will be stationed here. While the 2 soldiers are looking away, kill and hide the first soldier patrolling near the bushes.
Once the 2 guards left are talking, use simultaneous kill on both of them using Manfred and Ewald then hide the bodies. Going back to Lukas, let him sneak towards another ledge at the bottom of th warehouse ruins then use Hook Climb. Once you’re down the other side, use Rock Throw to distract the soldier near you and aim the rock behind him. When his back is turned, knock him out then hide the body.
A Trap for a Key

As Lukas, crawl towards the bushes behind the truck and wait for the patrolling officer to move. Once the officer is out of sight, use the Trap skill to lay down a trap to where he was recently patrolling just near the bushes. Wait for the nazi officer to get trapped until he is laying on the ground. use the knife to insta-kill him then carry his body to the bushes. The last officer near the truck is easy enough to kill. Just wait for his FOV to be in the other direction then rush him wih a knife attack. You can now get the key to the gate.
Man the Machine Gun

After another cutscene, Manfred, Ewald, and Lukas are now tasked in navigating through a well fortified checkpoint. Use Officer Manfred to quickly move out towards the right side of the check point, just by the ruined house where 3 guards are stationed. Get pass them and eliminate the single soldier outside by the bushes then hide the body in haste. Use the Whistle behind the fallen roof behind the house and eliminate the soldier attracted by it. For the last 2 guards, sync up and eliminate both at the same time with Manfred and Ewald.
There will be a patrolling guard and an officer around the pillbox where the MG42 machine gun is placed while two more soldiers stand idly by the checkpoint bridge. Wait for the patrolling soldier by the side of the house, behind the crates and use your whistle to attract and eliminate the guard. You can easily kill the officer in broad daylight, just wait for the FOV of the 2 soldiers by the bridge to move outside the officer’s view then kill him.
Where is that Bomb?

Use Manfred to interact with the machine gun and gun down all troops coming your way. Once that is done, leave him stationed there and choose Ewald and Lukas to move towards the warehouse ruins. Use Rock Throw to distract the guard standing behind the ruin then quickly use Ewald to knock him out. The last 3 soldiers are stationed on the end of the warehouse ruins so use Ewald and wait for the soldier to pass by then run towards the top of the ladder overlooking the soldiers. Once all 3 soldiers are gathered, use Ewald to push the wall and let it drop on the unsuspecting nazis. Let Lukas grab the bomb then out to the bridge.
Bye-bye Bridge

Now its time to blow up the bridge. With Lukas and Ewald, move to the left side of the map, towards the structure below the bridge. There will be guards moving about so for the nearest one, use Bottle skill of Ewald and throw it infront of the soldier. Once distracted, knock him out then carry his body away. Up next will be 4 soldiers; 2 of them will be talking in front of a log pole, another one overlooking the 2 soldiers in the west, and 1 would be walking about left and right of the path.
Use the Bottle to the solo soldier and aim beneath the huge tree behind the log pile then knock him out. Ewald is the strongest character so only Ewald can interact with the log pile. Interact with the log pile from behind and watch it trample down the 2 soldiers fast. This will cause the last soldier in the west to panic and run up to the log pile.By this time, use Lukas to quickly eliminate him from behind. Plant the bomb under the bridge using Lukas and wait for cutscene.
Bridge Aftermath

Now that the bridge is destroyed, all hell is about to break loose. Luckily you already have Manfred stationed in the MG42 so just select Manfred and gun the rushing soldiers down. It will be a quick fight that will let you regroup after the bridge assault. Use all 3 characters to run up the hill. Use Ewald to kill guard sentry near the burning pits. You can now release the prisoners trapped inside all 3 train wagons. A quick cutscene of the nazis chasing you so run across the burning pits and escape through the woods.
And that is Chapter 2 of War Mongrels titled Breaking Point. I hope that this guide is letting you progress through the game while enjoying the rich, historical narrative it portrays. See you again on Chapter 3.
